Elizabeth Kitts Blessing (Widow of Jacob Blessing)
Dower Land, October 12, 1813, Wythe Co., Virginia
Pursuant to an order of the worshipful court of Wythe County to us directed we have proceeded to lay off and assign the Dower land of Elizabeth Blessing widow and Relict of Jacob Blessing Deceased containing 36 acres and bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at a white oak corner to the old line thence south 32 poles to the creek N 70 W 22 poles to a walnut N 14 W the line of division 198 poles to a large white oak on the old line and with it S 70 E 54 poles to a white oak & thence a straight line to the beginning, witness our hands this 12th day of October 1813 Christopher Brown, Eliza Ellet, Nicholas Darter
In a Court continued and held for Wythe County, the 13th day of October 1813. This allotment of Dower made in pursuance of an order of this Court to Elizabeth Blessing widow and Relict of Jacob Blessing Deceased was returned to Court and ordered to be recorded.
